This composite policy (the "Policy") is made by and between Lift.Life ("Lift.Life", the "Company", "we", "us" or "our") and any natural or juristic person who accesses, browses or uses the website at liftlife.world, the Company's mobile and desktop applications, or any associated product, feature or service (collectively, the "Platform"; and such person, the "User", "you" or "your"). By accessing the Platform, registering an account, or submitting any Personal Information (as hereinafter defined), the User signifies their free, informed, specific and unconditional consent to, and acceptance of, this Policy in its entirety, including the Company's Terms of Use and Refund terms set out herein. Should the User not agree with any provision hereof, the User shall forthwith cease to access or use the Platform. Each instance of access to or use of the Platform shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of this Policy as in force at the relevant time.
01Scope, definitions & third-party platforms
1.1 For the purposes of this Policy, the expressions "Personal Information", "Sensitive Personal Information" and "Associated Information" shall bear the meanings respectively ascribed to them under the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (the "SPDI Rules"), read with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), and are collectively referred to herein as "Information".
1.2 The Platform may contain links to, or interoperate with, websites, applications and services owned or operated by third parties, including without limitation payment gateways, verification partners and employer portals. Such third parties may set their own cookies, collect data and operate under their own terms and privacy policies, in respect whereof the Company assumes no responsibility or liability whatsoever, and the inclusion of any link shall not be construed as an endorsement. The User is advised to peruse the privacy policy of each such third party prior to disclosing any Information thereto.
1.3 The Company has implemented reasonable security practices and procedures, consistent with applicable Indian law and prevailing industry standards, to preserve the confidentiality of Information and to protect the same against unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, accidental loss or unlawful destruction. The Company shall not use or disclose Information save as expressly provided in this Policy.
02Collection and retention of Information
2.1 The Company collects Information furnished by the User upon accessing, registering on, or interacting with the Platform, including inter alia the User's name, age, electronic mail address, location, telephone number, password and career or educational interests.
2.2 The Company further collects (a) transaction-related Information pertaining to purchases, subscriptions and offers availed; (b) support-related Information furnished when the User communicates with the Company; and (c) activity-related Information generated through use of the Platform, including profile particulars, job applications, skill assessments, interview practice and participation in discussions.
2.3 The Company shall retain Information only for such period as is necessary to fulfil the purposes set out herein and to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention and record-retention obligations, whereafter such Information shall be deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
03Purposes of processing
3.1 The User hereby consents to the processing of Information by the Company for the purposes of operating, analysing, administering and improving the Platform and providing the User a personalised experience, including without limitation to: (a) provide the services and features subscribed to and recommend suitable opportunities, courses and resources; (b) communicate with the User in respect of the User's account and respond to enquiries and requests, including password resets; (c) determine the User's general geographic location for the purpose of localised offerings; (d) transmit service communications, notices, surveys and, save where the User has opted out, promotional communications; and (e) detect, prevent, mitigate and investigate fraudulent, abusive or unlawful activity and enforce the Terms.
3.2 Communications may be effected by electronic mail, in-application notification, short messaging service, WhatsApp or other messaging channels for transactional, service or, subject to the User's preferences, promotional purposes. The User may withdraw consent to promotional communications in the manner set out in Clause 08.
04Cookies and analogous technologies
4.1 The Company deploys cookies, being small data files stored on the User's device that uniquely identify the User's browser, together with analogous technologies, to record preferences, facilitate authentication and analyse, in the aggregate, usage of the Platform. Most browsers are configured to accept cookies by default; the User may reconfigure their browser to refuse cookies or to notify the User upon receipt thereof, provided that certain features of the Platform may not function properly where cookies are disabled.
05Disclosure to service providers
5.1 The Company engages third-party service providers, agents and contractors ("Service Providers") to perform functions on its behalf, including marketing, communications, infrastructure and information-technology services, payment processing, customer support, analytics and survey administration. Such Service Providers may have access to Information solely to the extent necessary to perform their respective functions and are not authorised to use or disclose the same for any extraneous purpose.
5.2 The Company reserves the right to disclose Information to any third party making a lawful and legally compliant request therefor. Save as aforesaid, the Company shall not rent, trade, transfer or otherwise share the User's personal information with any other entity for such entity's marketing purposes without the User's consent.
06Security and localisation of Information
6.1 The Company shall not sell, rent or transfer the User's personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without the User's explicit consent, and shall use Information solely as set out herein. Information is stored and processed on servers situated within the territory of India and is protected by physical and technological safeguards. Should the User object to such storage or processing, the User shall refrain from using the Platform.
07Public forums and community spaces
7.1 Where the User avails of community features of the Platform, including discussion forums, comments or shared posts, any Information, message, file or media voluntarily disclosed by the User therein shall be visible to other users and may enter the public domain. All such disclosure is undertaken at the User's sole risk, and the User acknowledges that Information disclosed in a public profile or forum may become publicly accessible.
08Communication preferences and processors
8.1 The User may determine the manner in which the Company communicates with the User, including whether the User receives marketing communications. The User may withdraw consent to marketing communications by utilising the unsubscribe facility within any marketing electronic mail, amending the User's preferences within the account, or communicating with the Company in writing. The Company shall not sell or rent personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without the User's explicit consent.
8.2 The Company may engage trusted third parties to assist in the fulfilment of services, the processing of payments, the monitoring of activity, the conduct of surveys, the maintenance of databases and the provision of aggregate, comparative reporting, each acting upon the Company's instructions and bound to use Information solely for the purposes specified by the Company.
09Documents collected for verification
9.1 To enable profile verification, the unlocking of career opportunities, skill validation and the engendering of employer trust, the Company may collect and securely store the following documents, which the User uploads voluntarily and at the User's discretion:
- Aadhaar Card — for verification of identity.
- PAN Card — for verification of identity and, where applicable, tax-related particulars.
- Educational Certificates — degrees, diplomas and certificates of completion.
- Marksheets — academic marksheets and transcripts.
- Passport-size Photograph — for the User's verified profile and applications.
- Resume / Curriculum Vitae — the User's professional particulars.
- Experience Letters — evidence of prior employment.
- Internship Certificates — records of internships undertaken.
- Employment and Job Documents — offer letters, appointment letters and allied job-related records.
- Professional Licences and Certifications — trade, technical or professional credentials.
9.2 The aforesaid documents are collected solely for the purposes of identity verification, profile authenticity, educational verification, employment and job verification, the provision of career services, fraud prevention and related platform functions, and shall not be used for any purpose extraneous thereto. The Company has implemented reasonable technical, administrative and organisational safeguards to protect such documents against unauthorised access, disclosure, misuse, alteration or destruction.
10Rights of the Data Principal
10.1 Information and uploaded documents shall be processed in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the DPDP Act. The User, in the capacity of a Data Principal, may request the correction, access or erasure of the User's personal data by addressing a written request to info@liftlife.world, subject to the Company's legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention and record-retention obligations.
10.2 Uploaded documents shall be accessible only to authorised personnel of the Company, approved verification partners, and such employers or recruiters in respect of whom the User has expressly consented to disclosure.
11Security of uploaded documents
11.1 The Company employs industry-standard security measures to safeguard Information and uploaded documents, including encrypted data transmission, access controls, secure cloud infrastructure, authentication mechanisms and periodic security reviews. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the User acknowledges that no system of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be entirely secure, and the Company does not warrant absolute security against every conceivable breach.
12Consent and warranties in respect of documents
12.1 By uploading any Aadhaar, PAN, marksheet, educational certificate, photograph, resume, experience letter, employment document or other verification document, the User represents and warrants that the Information contained therein is true and accurate and pertains to the User, or that the User is otherwise lawfully authorised to share the same.
12.2 The User hereby grants the Company permission to process such documents for the purposes of identity verification, profile validation, employment and job verification, educational verification, the provision of career services, fraud prevention and platform operations. The User may withdraw such consent or seek erasure at any time by written communication, subject to applicable legal and record-retention requirements.
13Camera, microphone and recordings
13.1 Certain features, including video interviews, recorded mock interviews and verification calls, necessitate access to the camera and microphone of the User's device. By availing of such features, the User consents to the capture by the Company of images, audio and video and to the recording of such sessions for the purpose of providing and improving the relevant service. The User may regulate such permissions through the User's device or browser settings, provided that certain features may thereupon become unavailable.
14Use of name, photograph and testimonials
14.1 Where the User furnishes any testimonial, success narrative or analogous content, the User consents to the use by the Company of the User's name, photograph, video, voice recording, results and statements (collectively, the "Personal Attributes") for the publication, advertising and promotion of the Platform through any mode or medium, including print, online, social and electronic mail, for educational and promotional awareness. Any marketing material created using the Personal Attributes shall remain the sole property of the Company. The User hereby releases, waives and discharges the Company from any claim arising out of or relating to such use undertaken in accordance herewith, and may request the discontinuance of such use in future materials by written communication, which the Company shall honour prospectively, save in respect of materials already in circulation.
15Ownership of rights and intellectual property
15.1 All rights, including copyright, subsisting in the Platform and its contents are owned by or licensed to the Company. Save for the User's own personal, non-commercial use, the User shall not copy, store, reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, display, publish, sell, license, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any content of the Platform without the prior written permission of the Company. The downloading of copyrighted material shall not confer upon the User any ownership right therein. The Lift.Life name, logo, "Lift Score" and allied marks constitute the exclusive property of the Company and shall not be deemed to be in the public domain. The User shall retain ownership of the content and documents uploaded by the User.
16Consent and minors
16.1 The Company believes that every User ought to be in a position to provide informed consent prior to furnishing any Information requisite for use of the Platform. By registering, the User expressly consents to the collection, processing, storage, disclosure and handling of Information by the Company in the manner set out herein, as the same may be amended from time to time. All such processing shall take place within India; where the User is resident outside India, the User's Information shall be transferred to, processed and stored within India in accordance with applicable Indian data-protection law.
16.2 The Platform is intended for persons who have attained eighteen (18) years of age. The Company does not knowingly collect personal information from minors and shall take reasonable steps to erase any such information of which it becomes aware.
17Disclosure permitted or required by law
17.1 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, the Company may disclose Information: (a) where required by law; (b) to enforce the Terms of Use, including the investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) where the Company believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect its rights, to protect the safety of the User or others, to investigate fraud, or to address security or technical exigencies; (d) in response to a lawful request by any governmental or regulatory authority; and (e) to its Service Providers under appropriate obligations of confidentiality.
18Amendments to this Policy
18.1 The Company may, in its sole discretion, revise this Policy from time to time to reflect the evolution of its services and of applicable law. The User's continued use of the Platform subsequent to the posting of any revision shall be deemed to constitute acceptance thereof. The User is advised to review this Policy periodically.
19Limitation of liability and injunctive relief
19.1 The User acknowledges that the Company operates a platform connecting workers, learners and employers and is not the author of all third-party content made available thereon, and the Company shall not be liable for any repercussions arising from such third-party content.
19.2 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company, its officers, directors, employees, partners or agents be liable to the User or any third party for any special, incidental, indirect, consequential or punitive damages whatsoever, including those arising from loss of use, data, profits, income, employment or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the User's use of or access to the Platform.
19.3 In the event of the User's breach of these Terms, the User agrees that the Company may suffer irreparable harm for which damages may not constitute an adequate remedy, and the Company shall accordingly be entitled to seek injunctive relief from any court of competent jurisdiction, without prejudice to any other remedy available to it. Any such breach may further result in the immediate suspension or termination of the User's account and may give rise to civil or criminal liability under applicable law.
20Acceptance and eligibility
20.1 By accessing or using the Platform, the User agrees to be bound by these Terms and this Policy; should the User not so agree, the User shall refrain from using the Platform. The User must have attained eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of majority in the User's jurisdiction, in order to create an account. By registering, the User represents that the particulars furnished are accurate and that the Platform is being used for lawful and bona fide career purposes.
21Account and acceptable use
21.1 The User shall be solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the User's credentials and for all activity occurring under the User's account. Each account is personal to one User and shall not be shared, sold or transferred. The User shall notify the Company forthwith at info@liftlife.world upon becoming aware of any unauthorised access.
21.2 The User shall not upload false documents, impersonate any person, scrape the Platform, interfere with its operation, or employ the Platform for the transmission of spam or unlawful content. The Company may suspend or terminate any account found to be in breach of these provisions.
22Plans and subscriptions
22.1 The Company offers a Free plan together with paid Pro plans, including a discounted Student Pro plan for verified students and Recruiter plans for employers and hiring entities. The features, pricing and benefits of each plan are as set out at the point of checkout. Paid plans shall renew or remain in force for the period elected by the User. Payments, renewals and refunds, including in respect of the non-refundable Student Pro and Recruiter plans, shall be governed by the Refund provisions set out hereinbelow.
23Career services and result representations
23.1 The Company assists the User in preparing for, verifying and securing improved employment through artificial-intelligence-assisted and human-vetted services. Any representation as to a guaranteed result shall apply only where expressly stated in respect of a specific plan and only upon the User's completion of the requisite steps, including verification, profile completion, interviews and applications. No such representation shall be construed as a warranty as to any specific employer, remuneration or timeline beyond that expressly published for the relevant plan.
24Termination, governing law and jurisdiction
24.1 The User may terminate the User's account at any time. The Company may suspend or terminate access in the event of breach of these Terms, fraud or misuse; upon termination, certain data may be retained as required by applicable law.
24.2 This Policy and these Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and the courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection herewith.
25Refunds by plan
25.1 The Free plan is provided at no charge, and accordingly no refund arises in respect thereof. The Pro plan carries a refund window of seven (7) days, within which the User may seek a refund provided that the User has not substantially availed of paid services such as verification or placement support; upon such services being availed, the plan shall become non-refundable. Nothing herein shall derogate from any non-waivable right conferred upon the User by applicable law.
26Non-refundable items and refund procedure
26.1 Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the following shall be non-refundable: purchases of Student Pro and Recruiter plans; services already rendered, including completed verifications, placements or interviews secured; one-time add-ons once redeemed; and renewals effected after the expiry of the applicable refund window. Promotional or discounted purchases may be subject to their own non-refundable terms as displayed at checkout.
26.2 To claim an eligible refund, the User shall address a written request to info@liftlife.world from the User's registered electronic mail address, specifying the User's name, plan and date of purchase together with the grounds of the request. The Company shall assess eligibility and respond ordinarily within three (3) to five (5) business days. Approved refunds shall be remitted to the original instrument of payment and shall ordinarily reflect within five (5) to ten (10) business days, subject to the User's bank or payment service provider.
27Grievance redressal and contact
27.1 Any query, grievance or request concerning this Policy, or for the access, correction or erasure of personal data, may be addressed to the Company's Grievance Officer by electronic mail at info@liftlife.world or through liftlife.world. The Company shall endeavour to redress grievances within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
Lift.Life — India's Career Mobility Platform. By submitting any data to the Company or its agents, or by using the Platform, the User consents to the use of such data in the manner set out in this Policy.
